On May 25, 2023, the "JPMA Press Conference" was held in front of Bellesalle Iidabashi Station (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). At the press conference, JPMA President Hiroaki Ueno, who was newly elected at the 268th JPMA Assembly held on the same day, delivered a statement of policy and discussed the challenging environment facing the industry and JPMA's future initiatives under the title of "Toward a Nation Driven by Innovation". The press conference was held in a hybrid format of on-site and online, with 29 members of the press from 22 companies in attendance and a lively Q&A session, indicating a high level of interest in the future direction of the pharmaceutical industry.
