Currently, the creation of liver and heart cells has already been realized in the laboratory, and research for the treatment of specific diseases is progressing.
Furthermore, the possibilities for treatment using "iPS cells" are further expanding, including transplantation of stem cells in bone marrow to treat leukemia and transplantation of cultured skin to treat burns and other injuries.
