"JPMA President's Press Conference" Held; New President Yasufumi Okada Delivers Policy Statement
On May 20, 2021, the “JPMA Chairman’s Press Conference” was held at the Hotel Metropolitan Edmont (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo).At the press conference, newly elected Chairman Yasufumi Okada, who was appointed at the 260th JPMA Assembly held that same day, delivered his policy address. He discussed the severe challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry and the initiatives the JPMA will focus on moving forward, marking a new beginning for the JPMA under Chairman Okada’s leadership.Although this press conference was held via webcast, 36 members of the press participated and engaged in a lively question-and-answer session, demonstrating a high level of interest in the future direction of the pharmaceutical industry.
