The Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC), which will be held for the 15th time in 2026, will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Keidanren Kaikan. In preparation for the 15th APAC, we visited APAC member industry associations and pharmaceutical regulatory authorities in three ASEAN countries. The following is a report on the contents of these visits.

Continuing from 2024, we visited the regulatory authorities in Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore with our sister organizations in each country from November 17 to 21, 2025, in preparation for the APAC meeting. In addition to exchanging views, we provided an overview of the 15th APAC and requested their cooperation in participating in the conference and sending speakers/panelists to the sessions.

They met with Mr. Supattra Boonserm, newly appointed Secretary General of the Thai FDA, Ms. Taruna Ikrar, Head of the Indonesian National Pharmaceutical and Food Regulatory Agency (BPOM), and Mr. Adjunct Prof Raymond Chua, CEO of the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore. The authorities expressed a high level of interest in APAC activities and shared the importance of collaboration between the industry and authorities to solve issues such as reliance optimization and sector expansion, review efficiency through digitization and AI, and market access improvement. This has clarified the direction to further strengthen future collaboration, building on the existing relationship of trust.

In addition, the Thai and Indonesian authorities communicated the content of the meeting via official news releases and social media on the same day, indicating a high level of interest.
