The 15th Asian Pharmaceutical Associations Conference (APAC) Date: April 21, 2026

The Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC) was established in 2012 at the initiative of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) with the mission to "rapidly deliver innovative new medicines to the people of Asia. APAC is an international conference with the mission to "rapidly deliver innovative new medicines to the people of Asia.

The APAC project members of the Pharmaceutical Association of Japan have started discussions for the 15th APAC, which will be held on April 21, 2026.

APAC is organized by research-based pharmaceutical organizations in the Asian region and has established working groups on "Drug Discovery (DA) Collaboration", "Regulatory Affairs and Licensing (RA)", "Manufacturing, Quality Control and Supply (MQS)", "e-labeling" and "Asia Universal Health Coverage (aUHC)" and regulators, The working groups discuss timely topics with regulators, academia, and industry.

APAC member organizations consist of research-based pharmaceutical organizations affiliated with IFPMA (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations), and with the new addition of the Pharma Group of Vietnam, APAC is now organized with 14 organizations from 12 regions in Asia. With the aim of achieving their mission, each member is actively engaged in discussions for the 15th APAC.

APAC Steering Committee (decision-making committee for APAC consisting of representatives from APAC member organizations)

The first meeting of the Steering Committee, attended by representatives of the 14 APAC member organizations, was held on October 17, 2025. At this meeting, the committee discussed the review of the image map representing APAC's mission and activities, and each working group also shared the status of their initiatives.

The first Steering Committee meeting was held on October 1, 2025 to discuss and approve recommendations to be submitted to the APAC Steering Committee on October 17, 2025. Committee on October 17, 2025.

 


APAC Working-level Meeting (Meeting to formulate and manage the activity plan of APAC)

This is a meeting body composed of members including the Chair and the leaders of each working group in order to plan the activities of APAC and ensure its smooth operation. In preparation for the 15th APAC, we have held five working-level meetings so far and are steadily advancing preparations for the event through cooperation with the Steering Committee and the Steering Committee.

 


We look forward to the participation of many people from industry, regulatory authorities, and academia from Japan and abroad at the 15th APAC, and will work to ensure that active discussions are held in order to realize the APAC mission "to rapidly deliver innovative new medicines to the people of Asia".
