APAC Mission

APAC has been addressing a broad range of issues under the theme of “Access to Innovative Medicines (ATIM)” with the aim of fulfilling its mission, “Enhancing access to innovative medicines for the people in Asia.”
Through these ongoing efforts, APAC continues to advance its priority areas in a systematic manner, while contributing to the improvement of public health across Asia.

Since its establishment in 2012, APAC has provided a unique opportunity for regulators, academia, and industry to engage in constructive discussions on timely topics to improve "Access to Innovative Medicines" (ATIM) in Asia.
The APAC Working Groups and Task Forces on Drug Discovery Alliance (DA), Regulation and Approval (RA), and Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Supply (MQS) are active and have achieved a high level of success in their efforts to promote country collaboration and regulatory harmonization.
Furthermore, in response to technological innovation and a changing environment, APAC has begun to address each of these issues from an industry perspective by launching new thematic teams on "e-labeling" in 2020 and "Asia Universal Health Coverage (aUHC)" in 2021.
