Pharmaceutical Association Code of Practice
The member companies of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) must always ensure a high level of ethics and transparency in their business activities, fulfill their accountability regarding interactions with researchers, medical professionals, patient groups, etc., and live up to the trust society places in them.
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Code of Practice is a further development of the "Code of Ethical Drug Promotion" and sets forth standards of conduct for all executives and employees of member companies and their interactions with researchers, medical professionals, patient groups, etc. It was developed in January 2013 and published in May 2017, November 2018, and It was developed in January 2013 and revised in May 2017, November 2018, September 2019, and May 2025.
