Social Media Policy

JCIA will operate social media for the purpose of disseminating information on the pharmaceutical industry, communicating with the public at large, and building a better relationship with the public. In using social media (Facebook, YouTube, etc.), the following "Social Media Policy" defines the attitude and action guidelines to be observed and complied with.
1. Basic Policy
We will strive to use this website in a manner that respects the respective positions of everyone involved with the Association. We will comply with laws and regulations, industry guidelines, and MMA bylaws, strive to disseminate information that is trusted by the public, and participate in an honest and moderate manner.
2. Protection of confidential information
We will handle information regarding internal or related parties of the association with the utmost care. Basically, we will not disseminate information that should not be made public.
3. Protection of the rights of third parties
When we transmit images, videos, materials, or other productions, we will comply with laws and regulations protecting intellectual property such as trademarks, portrait rights, copyrights, and patent rights.
4. Protection of information of MISHOP affiliates, business partners, etc.
We will not transmit via social media any information or confidential information that could be used to identify people inside the association, related parties, business partners, etc.
5. Ensuring transparency
We will not create pseudo pages or post messages for the purpose of controlling the flow of discussion.
6. Prohibition of slander and libel
We will not send out information that is libelous or defamatory of any specific individual, group, religion, or politics. In the event that we transmit incorrect information, we will correct it promptly.
7. Prohibit the dissemination of information of unknown authenticity
We will not transmit information on social media whose authenticity cannot be confirmed.
8. Rules for information dissemination about MISHOP
Information sent from official social media accounts does not necessarily represent all of the official announcements and views of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ). Please check the official website and press releases for official announcements and views.
9. Establishment of operational guidelines
In order to properly manage and operate the official social media accounts, the "Pharmaceutical Association of Japan Social Media Guidelines" have been created and will be operated in accordance with these guidelines. In addition, when persons involved within the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) use social media for personal use, they are requested to understand the purpose of this policy.
10. Understanding the characteristics of social media
When information or postings are made public on the Internet, they may remain permanently as a record even if they are deleted. Recognizing this characteristic, we will endeavor to disseminate information and postings appropriately.
Precautions under Pharmaceutical Affairs Related Laws and Regulations
When disseminating information, we will comply with the "Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan Code of Practice" and will operate after careful examination to ensure that our activities do not lead to inappropriate results when compared to the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act, the Standards for Proper Advertising of Drugs and Other Drugs, the Ethical Drug Promotion Code, and other voluntary codes.
