The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is pleased to announce the "Open Call for Researcher Support and Grant".
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) launched the "Study Group on Extending Healthy Life Expectancy and Driving Economic Growth" (hereafter referred to as "the Group") in FY2021, inviting experts who are leading academic research on the state of healthcare as a whole to participate in discussions on the contribution of the pharmaceutical industry to extending healthy life expectancy and economic growth, and to conduct various surveys and analyses. The study group discussed the contribution of the pharmaceutical industry to the extension of healthy life expectancy and economic growth, and conducted various surveys and analyses.
At the workshop, the participants discussed the importance of promoting interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research in the medical and health fields, accumulating evidence for "extension of healthy life expectancy" and "driving economic growth" in Japan, and the importance of supporting young researchers.
Based on the recommendations of the study group, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) will provide grants to support researchers in order to promote interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research and support young researchers, thereby contributing to the development of research that will help solve issues surrounding the medical, health, and pharmaceutical industries in Japan in the future.
