JPMA Launches Official Twitter Account

Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA; Chairman: Yasushi Okada) is pleased to announce the opening of its official Twitter account.
JPMA is an industry organization of 73 R&D-oriented pharmaceutical companies, and is engaged in a multifaceted program of activities to solve problems common to the pharmaceutical industry, to deepen understanding of pharmaceuticals and the industry, and to promote international cooperation.
Since last year, JPMA has been working to enhance its owned media (website and SNS) in order to provide the public with information on the pharmaceutical industry and the latest activities of JPMA in a timely manner. In September last year, we renewed our website () and have been considering the use of social networking services (SNS).
The official Twitter account that has just been established will provide information on JPMA's initiatives and events. JPMA is also considering establishing official SNS accounts other than Twitter, and plans are in the works to plan public relations events that will link the JPMA website with SNS activities.
