Disciplinary Action Against Member Companies

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Yasushi Okada) hereby reports that it has imposed the following disciplinary actions on the two member companies listed below.
The disciplinary actions were determined based on the results of deliberations by the Disciplinary Review Committee and other bodies regarding: ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD., in connection with the conviction of two of its employees for bribery involving a third party; and Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co.,Inc., in connection with the administrative sanctions(suspension of operations as a pharmaceutical manufacturer and distributor) were imposed.
We deeply regret these incidents and will redouble our efforts to ensure strict compliance among our member companies.
