Disciplinary Action Against Member Companies

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Yasushi Okada) hereby reports that, following administrative sanctions (an order to improve business operations due to the partial falsification of approval application documents, among other violations) imposed on its member company, Meiji Seika Pharma Co., Ltd., pursuant to the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act and related laws, and based on the deliberations of the Sanctions Review Committee, the Association has imposed the following sanctions.
We deeply regret this incident and will redouble our efforts to ensure strict compliance among our member companies.
