Information on "Summer Vacation Free Research Site" for Elementary and Junior High School Students

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is pleased to announce that it will provide information on the "Summer Vacation! (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuji Hirose), a free research theme related to the pharmaceutical industry, has been posted on Gakken Kids Net's "Summer Vacation!
JPMA conducts a variety of activities to promote understanding of the R&D-based pharmaceutical industry among a wide range of stakeholders. As a part of these activities, we have been providing information in collaboration with Gakken Kids Net since 2010 with the aim of familiarizing young people, such as elementary and junior high school students, with the pharmaceutical industry and drugs.
This year, in the midst of the Corona disaster, we will produce and disseminate information mainly on the theme of Explanation of infectious diseases and the mechanism by which the human body fights against diseases.

The JPMA also has a "Pharmaceutical Research Institute" on its website to provide information on pharmaceuticals and the pharmaceutical industry for elementary and junior high school students. A banner link is provided to the "Research on the Secrets of Drugs" section of Gakken Kids Net, so that you can also visit this site.
JPMA will continue to actively provide information on the industry and pharmaceuticals in order to further promote understanding of the pharmaceutical industry among the general public.

(a joint venture between Gakken Plus and the Nippon Souzou Group) that provides a variety of content to elementary and junior high school students to encourage them to experience the Internet in a fun way. The site is not limited to elementary and junior high school students. The site continues to introduce a wealth of content aimed not only at elementary and junior high school students, but also at their parents, school teachers, and anyone else involved with children. JPMA's "Pharmaceutical Research Institute
The "Pharmaceuticals Research Institute" (http://www.jpma.or.jp/junior/kusurilabo) is a fictional facility established within the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) website. At the Kusuri Kenkyujo, visitors can learn the correct knowledge of drugs in five categories.

- Development of Drugs: Steps in the development of new drugs, How to make pills
- Types of drugs ・・・ Long-acting drugs, forms of drugs, drugs that dissolve in the intestines, etc.

The target age group is upper elementary school students and junior high school students. Kanji characters learned in the fifth grade of elementary school and above are read with kana, and easy-to-understand words are used to introduce the information in an appropriate volume.
