On the Occasion of the 15th APAC Conference
April 22, 2026
Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association
Asuka Miyabashira, Chairman
The 15th Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC) was held on April 21, 2026. This year again, approximately 700 people participated in meaningful discussions not only from pharmaceutical associations, but also from regulatory authorities and academia in Asian countries and regions, including Japan, as speakers and audience members.
This year's APAC provided an opportunity to reaffirm that the fact that the framework for dialogue in Asia, in which industry, academia, and government collaborate, has continued for 15 years is in itself a major achievement and an important milestone.
On the occasion of this memorable 15th meeting, after careful and inclusive discussions with the 14 organizations from the 12 Asian regions that comprise APAC, we have revised the mission to a new one, as follows.
"Enhancing access to innovative medicines for the people in Asia".
Delivering real value to patients requires enhanced access across the entire value chain, including regulation and licensing, drug discovery collaboration, e-labeling, manufacturing, quality control and supply, and aUHC*. With this in mind, we have evolved the mission into a more comprehensive concept.
We are pleased to announce the attached summary of this year's agreement. Based on this agreement, Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, as a member of APAC, will continue to contribute to patients and healthcare in Asia as a whole through trust-based dialogue based on cooperation among industry, academia, and government.
