In Connection with the 15th Asia Pharmaceutical Association Cooperation Conference (APAC)

The “15th Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC)” was held on April 21, 2026.This year, we once again welcomed not only representatives from pharmaceutical associations but also officials from regulatory authorities and academics from various Asian countries and regions, including Japan, as speakers and attendees. Approximately 700 people participated, and meaningful discussions took place.
This year’s APAC provided an opportunity to reaffirm that the very fact that this framework for dialogue in Asia—bringing together industry, academia, and government—has continued for 15 years is itself a major achievement and an important milestone.
To mark this commemorative 15th conference, following careful and inclusive discussions with the 14 member organizations from 12 regions across Asia that comprise APAC, we have revised our mission as follows:
“Enhancing access to innovative medicines for the people of Asia”
Delivering true value to patients requires strengthening access across the entire value chain, including regulation and approval, drug discovery collaboration, e-labeling, manufacturing, quality control, supply, and aUHC *. Based on this philosophy, we have evolved our mission into a more comprehensive concept.
We are pleased to announce that the agreements reached this fiscal year have been compiled as shown in the attached document. Based on these agreements, the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association will continue to contribute to patients and healthcare throughout Asia as a member of APAC, through collaboration among industry, academia, and government, while engaging in ongoing dialogue built on trust.
