Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers
Association The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA; Chairman: Asuka Miyabashira ) will hold the "JPMA Kusurium Laboratory 2025 Autumn", a hands-on event for learning about drugs in a fun way on September 14 (Sun.) and 15 (Mon.), 2025 at Kitanomaru Park and Science Museum in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. will be held at the Science Museum in Kitamaru Park, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Since 2016, JPMA has cooperated in the exhibition of the permanent exhibition room "Drug Room - Kusurium" at the Science Museum, and in March 2025, held the hands-on event "JPMA Kusurium Laboratory" with the aim of motivating children to become drug researchers and related professions in the future. The event was so well received, with approximately 6,000 visitors, that JPMA decided to hold an additional event, "JPMA Kusurium Laboratory 2025 Autumn," on September 14 and 15 during the consecutive autumn holidays.
As in the previous event held in March 2025, the following topics will be covered at the "JPMA Kusurium Laboratory 2025 Autumn".
Contents of the "JPMA Kusurium Laboratory 2025 Autumn

Experimental show:
Finding drugs (introduction of one of the methods used to find the active ingredients of drugs)
Acids and alkalis (simple experiments on acids and alkalis, which are related to the functions of the body and drugs) -
Panel display:
Panel Exhibit: Creating New Drugs (A corner where visitors can learn about the necessary steps for creating drugs through panels)
Invention and Science of Drugs (the achievements of the greats of the past) - How Electron Microscopes Work (in cooperation with Carl Zeiss Co., Ltd.)
- Pharmaceutical Molecular Puzzle Experience (assembling molecular models)
- Sugoroku experience in a pharmaceutical factory (Sugoroku game to learn the process of making drugs)
- Workshop (workshop using "chromatography," a method introduced in "Finding Drugs")
To commemorate the event, JPMA is also running a campaign to invite 50 pairs of 100 people to the event, selected by drawing from among the followers of the JPMA's official X-account.

The JPMA Public Affairs Committee supports the "Senden Kaigi Award for Junior & Senior High School Students " sponsored by Senden Kaigi, Inc., disseminates information for university students using content operated by Mynavi Corporation, and holds permanent exhibitions and events for elementary school students at the Science Museum of Japan, in order to provide all young people with opportunities to be involved in future medical care and R&D. We provide opportunities for all young people to become involved in the future of medicine and research and development. We regard young people as "co-creation partners" who will work together to create the future of medicine, and we will continue to provide information and promote dialogue with them.
