The 18th Survey on Sei-katsu-sha Attitudes toward Drugs and the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is pleased to announce that the results of the 18th Survey on Consumer Awareness of Drugs and the Pharmaceutical Industry (hereafter referred to as "the Survey"), conducted this year, are now available on the JPMA website.
18th Survey on Consumer Awareness of Drugs and the Pharmaceutical Industry
The survey was launched in 1996 and has been conducted annually since 2014, with this year marking the 18th time the survey has been conducted.
According to the results of this year's survey, 84% of respondents have confidence in the pharmaceutical industry, and 89% responded positively to the survey as an industry (newly established) that is essential to people's lives. Depending on the survey items, there are also differences in thoughts and interest by each demographic, such as by age, health status, and experience of receiving medical examinations. We will also value these differences in the dissemination of information from the industry, and will direct our public relations activities to meet the expectations of our stakeholders, taking into account their diverse needs and interests, and with an awareness of their engagement.
