Release of an Educational Video on the Utilization of Health and Medical Data

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA, Chairman: Hiroaki Ueno) announces that it has produced two videos and released them on the JPMA website to raise awareness of the significance of utilizing health and medical data* in an easy-to-understand manner.

Health data obtained through medical checkups, nursing care, and daily activities, and medical data recorded at hospitals, clinics, and dispensing pharmacies.

The JPMA has established a task force within the Drug Evaluation Committee to promote the utilization of medical information databases, with the aim of developing the utilization of health and medical data not only by the JPMA industry but also by society as a whole and creating a better society for the general public.

We have created two types of videos: a short version (45 seconds) that introduces the concept of utilizing health and medical data, and a long version (3 minutes and 27 seconds) that introduces the importance of health and medical data using friendly animation. We hope you will make use of these videos at various events, on social networking services, and on your websites.

We will continue to use this video to further promote the use of health and medical data to the general public in cooperation with stakeholders.
