Publication of an Educational Video on the Utilization of Health and Medical Data

The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Hiroaki Ueno, hereinafter referred to as "JAMA") has produced two types of videos and released them on the JAMA website with the aim of raising awareness of the significance of utilizing health and medical data* in an easy-to-understand manner.

Health data obtained from medical checkups, nursing care, and daily activities, and medical data recorded at hospitals, clinics, and dispensing pharmacies.

 

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) has established a task force for the promotion of medical information database utilization within the Pharmaceutical Evaluation Committee, with the aim of developing the utilization of health and medical data not only by the pharmaceutical industry but also by society as a whole and forming a better society for the general public.

We have created two types of videos: a short version (45 seconds) that introduces the concept of utilizing health and medical data, and a long version (3 minutes and 27 seconds) that introduces the importance of health and medical data using friendly animation. We hope that you will make use of this video at various events, on social networking services, and on your websites.

 

We will use this video to further promote the utilization of health and medical data to the general public in cooperation with our stakeholders.
