Topics About the Code Understanding Promotion Month in 2022
The JPMA has designated November as the Month for Promoting Understanding of the JPMA Code of Practice ("JPMA Code"), and the theme for 2022 is "Meeting Society's Expectations through Sincere Actions," the same as in 2021. The subtitle of this year's theme is "Each and Every Employee is Responsible." This is in light of the fact that not only executives but also each and every employee is increasingly required to be aware of compliance in order to reform work styles, including teleworking, and to take measures against new types of coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Once again, member companies will work together to conduct internal inspections to ensure thorough compliance with the JPMA Code and their own codes.
Meeting Society's Expectations through Sincere N-row Actions - Each and Every One of Us is a Responsible Person
In fiscal 2022, we have produced a "Month to Promote Understanding of the Code" awareness poster*1 that can be used to describe inspection items, as well as a digital version of the poster (desktop wallpaper image)*2 that was well-received in fiscal 2021.
By illustrating the various occupations and situations of people working in the pharmaceutical industry, the poster design this time was meant to convey the importance of each individual's awareness and consciousness as a responsible person in order to meet society's expectations through sincere actions, especially at this turning point of the times.
The global spread of COVID-19 has had a major impact on our actions. Its impact on our corporate activities is no exception. Even in this era of the New Normal, with its new common sense and changing ways of working, we must respond to the expectations and trust of society by creating further innovations and providing innovative value. To this end, we will comply with the JPMA Code in our daily activities, and faithfully practice activities that aim for even higher levels for the benefit of patients.
