The 30th Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) Policy Seminar was held on March 12, 2018 at the Tokyo Conference Center Shinagawa (Minato-ku, Tokyo) under the theme of "The Pharmaceutical Industry at a Turning Point in Healthcare: Promoting Utilization of Medical Big Data. The seminar was held under the theme of "Promotion of Utilization of Medical Big Data". As a result of the accumulation and accumulation of data for the treatment of individual patients through the advancement of ICT technology, data can now be used for research into disease prevention, preemptive medicine, and other areas. On the other hand, there are still areas that need improvement, such as the generation of data suitable for research and procedures for third-party use of data.
