The 16th JPMA Forum was held on November 26, 2015 at the Keidanren Kaikan (Otemachi, Tokyo) with the attendance of approximately 350 invited guests, including Diet members, government officials, related organizations, opinion leaders, patient groups, and media representatives. The JPMA Forum is held annually at this time of the year to bring together leaders from various fields related to JPMA and representatives of member companies to exchange views and opinions. This year, we invited Makoto Suematsu, President of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), to give a lecture on R&D in the medical field, from the basics to practical application.
