Announcement of "World NTD Day" Webinar in 2026

January 30 is the World Health Organization (WHO)-approved "World NTD Day." Although NTDs are named Neglected Tropical Diseases, they have many links to Japan. Some NTDs are still present in Japan. In addition to the Japanese government, many companies and organizations associated with Japan are contributing to the development, manufacturing, research, and a wide range of other aspects of therapeutic drugs (from the World NTD Day Japan Executive Committee website).

The NTDs Youth Association (constituent organizations: GHIT Fund, Global Health Technology Fund, Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Nagasaki University Institute of Tropical Medicine/Japan Alliance for Neglected Tropical Diseases JAGntd, SDGs Promise Japan, a non-profit organization, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) is pleased to announce the launch of the World NTDs Day in Japan: (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) will serve as the secretariat for the World NTD Day 2026 webinar.

The NTDs subgroup of the Infectious Diseases Group of the Global Health Subcommittee of the International Committee of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PAP) supports and cooperates with this initiative. We hope you will join us for the following webinar.
