GHIT
The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund) is an international non-profit organization that promotes the development of new drugs from Japan to control infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), especially those endemic in developing countries. GHIT Fund was established as Japan's first public-private partnership between the Japanese government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), Japanese pharmaceutical companies, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to promote new drug development by promoting collaboration and providing grants to research institutions in Japan and abroad.
