The World of Drugs in the Language of the Next Generation

The moment when a drug is born" was expressed by female junior and senior high school students in their own words.

On March 23, 2026, Girls Meet STEM Spring Project "How are drugs created? Experience Tour". About 30 junior and senior high school girls who aim for a science-related career seriously confronted current employees of pharmaceutical companies and put the realities of drug discovery, from AI drug discovery, iPS cells, data science, drug-resistant bacteria, and drug loss, into 40 tags in their entirety.

Drug discovery requires a daunting effort that takes more than 10 years and a success rate of 1 in 30,000 to complete a single drug. This karuta expresses the world of drug discovery from a wide range of perspectives, from the realities of the research field to social issues. It is filled with words compiled with the fresh sensitivity of female junior and senior high school students.
