The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) and the Japan Council on the Proper Use of Drugs (JCPC) have produced a series of educational materials for the general public to promote the proper use of pharmaceuticals, under the supervision of Dr. Masahiro Akishita, Director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital Center for Health and Longevity, who is an expert on polypharmacy issues, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
