Drug Evaluation Committee Results of Survey on Current Status of Clinical Trial Networks in Japan 2012

The following is a summary of responses received between November 2012 and January 2013 from 38 networks ("medical NWs") led by medical institutions such as universities, medical associations, medical corporations, and independent administrative institutions, and 40 networks ("SMONWs") led by SMO companies that bring together medical institutions. The results of the survey are as follows. The survey results are divided into five categories: (1) basic information, (2) case accumulation and progress management, (3) IRB structure, (4) methods of requesting and conducting various surveys, and (5) features and issues of clinical trial networks. In addition to the survey results, the web-based survey format and a list of clinical trial networks (medical NWs and SMONWs) that cooperated in answering the survey are included as reference materials in the Appendix.
