The Clinical Evaluation Subcommittee has been working on the theme of "Patient Centricity" since FY2016, with the aim of developing pharmaceuticals that advance together with patients. In FY2017, the third year of the project, we compiled the following report.
Patient Centricity in Drug Development
In 2018, the third year of the project, two reports were prepared to further the implementation of Patient Centricity-based activities in each company: first, examples of Patient Centricity-based activities were collected from companies belonging to Task Force members, and each case study The second is a report on how to communicate with patient groups at each stage of collaboration, based on the knowledge and experience gained by the task force to date.
The ultimate goal of the Task Force is the implementation of patient-initiated drug development in all pharmaceutical companies. We hope that both guidebooks will assist companies in implementing Patient Centricity activities.
