Under the VISION of "contributing to the safety and security of patients by establishing an ideal safety information provision system from the viewpoints of patients and healthcare providers and delivering necessary information," we are working to promote risk communication using DX.
In July 2024, we released a preliminary report on the current status of obtaining drug information by conducting a survey of patients and their family members to clarify their search behavior and reasons for selecting information when they use the Internet to look up drug information.
Based on the results, we conducted an analysis of patients' drug information search behavior using a positioning map. With the diversification of information sources and variation in quality, the report presents the gap between reliability and visibility when searching for drugs, changes in information needs according to treatment stage, and differences in information gathering behavior according to disease characteristics.
By releasing the information to the public, we aim to contribute to strengthening the provision of information for patients that is both reliable and convenient for the pharmaceutical industry.
