The Clinical Evaluation Subcommittee has been continuing activities since fiscal 2016 under the theme of "Drug Development Utilizing Patients' Voices," aiming to implement drug development that is advanced together with patients.
However, in order to clarify measures for further promotion and to reflect specific patient involvement activities, we conducted a wide-ranging survey of patient groups on their recognition and expectations of patient involvement activities in clinical trials by means of a questionnaire. The survey was conducted to clarify the measures to be taken to further promote patient involvement activities and to reflect specific patient involvement activities.
We hope that the results of this survey will be useful not only to pharmaceutical companies but also to all stakeholders involved in patient engagement activities in order to further promote "drug development based on patients' voices".
