The Japanese pharmaceutical industry has been cooperating with the government in the development and operation of various regulations and systems to address issues related to the risk assessment of pharmaceutical products, and has proposed improvements. However, it is thought that in some areas the pharmaceutical industry has not been sufficiently proactive in considering new approaches, as it has been too occupied with the task at hand to comply with "regulations. However, in light of the recent advances in digital technology and the trend toward patient-participatory medicine (PPI), we believe that the time has come for the pharmaceutical industry to break free from its passive stance. We hope that this report will serve as a reference for information providers in the pharmaceutical industry.
