Drug Evaluation Committee Communication of Drug Information that Gives Satisfaction - Toward the Establishment of "Satisfaction" and "Trust" Based on Scientific Evidence

To address challenges related to the risk assessment of pharmaceuticals, the Japanese pharmaceutical industry has cooperated with government agencies in the development and implementation of various regulations and systems, and has offered proposals for improvement. However, it appears that, because companies were so preoccupied with their day-to-day operations, they were often stretched thin simply trying to comply with “regulations,” and there were areas where the industry did not sufficiently take the initiative to explore new approaches.Nevertheless, given recent advances in digital technology and the trend toward patient-centered (PPI) healthcare, we believe the time has come to move beyond a passive stance. We have therefore compiled a list of points that pharmaceutical companies should reaffirm from three perspectives. We hope this will serve as a useful reference for communications professionals at pharmaceutical companies.
