The DS Subcommittee will publish an AI-related deliverable, "What is AI? in 2019 and "Machine Learning: Getting Started" in 2020. While these were both highly useful deliverables, we felt that in order to utilize AI in data management practice, a guide that bridges the gap between the two to help users visualize specific implementations was needed. In this report, we introduce examples of AI implementation in the data management area so that even beginners can grasp a concrete image of AI. We also provide a summary of preparations, issues, points to keep in mind, hints, etc. for using AI, and also refer to the concept of policies for organizations to introduce AI. The presentation also includes a look at the prospects for AI use in the data management domain. The Appendix also includes the actual prototyping conducted by the TF.
We hope that this report will serve as a reference not only for those involved in data management, but also for those who are new to AI in clinical development and post-marketing surveillance, and promote the use of AI in their respective fields of work.
