About the DVD "What is Pharmaceuticals?

According to the "Explanation of Courses of Study for High School Students (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, December 2009)," "Students should be able to understand that there are ethical drugs and over-the-counter drugs, that their efficacy and safety are examined under the approval system, and that their sales are regulated. To help students understand that in order to recover from a disease or prevent worsening of a disease, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of each drug, observe precautions regarding its use, and use it correctly. In doing so, it should also be mentioned that some side effects can be expected, while others are difficult to anticipate." This is explained in the following paragraphs.

Based on this purpose, the Council for the Proper Use of Drugs, the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, the Japan OTC Drug Association, and the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association have produced this educational material.
