Anti-Counterfeit Measures

Patient safety is greatly threatened in developing countries, where it is reported that 10-30% of the drugs in circulation are counterfeit.

In cooperation with various stakeholders, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) is implementing the following initiatives.

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) conducts periodic surveys of its member companies on counterfeit pharmaceuticals to ascertain the actual state of counterfeit pharmaceutical countermeasures at member companies.
