Industry Policy Committee Educational materials on whole genome analysis and genomic medicine
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Japan (PMAJ) recently produced materials introducing the results of a questionnaire survey for general households under the supervision of Ayako Kamisato, then associate professor at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo, who is an expert in Ethical, Legal and Social Issues (ELSI), with the aim of promoting understanding of whole genome analysis and genomic medicine. The survey results were presented to the general public.
The survey results of more than 2,000 respondents were introduced to the general public on the topics of whole genome analysis and genome medicine, which are usually unfamiliar to the general public.
